Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 piece salmon fillet Choose firm and shiny salmon.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Generously coat the salmon.
  • 1 whole lemon Juiced over the salmon.
  • to taste salt Don't be shy with the seasoning.
  • to taste black pepper Freshly ground is best.
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs (parsley or dill) Herbs should be chopped.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Coat the salmon fillet with olive oil.
  3. Squeeze lemon juice over the top.
  4. Sprinkle with fresh herbs, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Place the salmon on a baking sheet. You may use foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the edges are golden and the middle flakes easily.
  3. Check at the 10-minute mark to monitor cooking.

Notes

For perfectly baked salmon, do not overbake as it dries out quickly. Let it rest for a few minutes after removing from the oven for better texture. Pair with roasted veggies, rice, or crusty bread.
