For the base and topping
  • 2 cans crescent roll dough Ready-made for convenience
  • 1 cup sugar Granulated sugar for sweetening
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon For sprinkling over the dough
For the filling
  • 8 ounces cream cheese At room temperature for easy mixing
  • 1/2 cup sugar Additional sugar for the cheesecake filling
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor enhancement
  • 1 large egg To bind the filling

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and lay it in a greased baking dish, pressing firmly to create a bottom crust.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough in the baking dish.
  5. Unroll the second can of dough and place it on top of the cream cheese filling.
  6. Sprinkle the top with a mixture of sugar and ground cinnamon.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars.
