Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups gluten-free flour blend Choose a blend suitable for baking.
  • 1 tbsp baking powder Adjust if needed based on flour blend.
  • 1/2 tsp salt A pinch enhances flavor.
  • 1 tbsp sugar Optional, for sweetness.
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup cold butter Keep it cold for flakiness.
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk Add until the dough is messy.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add in the cold butter, either grating or cutting it into small pieces.
  4. Pour in the buttermilk and mix until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet or roll out and cut with a biscuit cutter.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden on top.
  2. Serve warm with butter or your favorite topping.

Notes

For longer storage, freeze biscuits individually. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
