Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups chicken, turkey, or veggie broth Use what you have
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch or potato starch Can also use arrowroot
  • 2 tablespoons butter Dairy free works great too
  • Salt & black pepper To taste
  • 1 dash onion powder Optional for depth
  • 1 dash thyme Optional for depth
  • 1 splash coconut aminos Optional for depth

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Melt butter in a saucepan on medium heat, being careful not to scorch it.
  2. Mix starch with a few spoons of cold broth until smooth to avoid lumps.
  3. Add the broth to the melted butter and whisk in the starchy slurry.
  4. Stir continuously as it heats until the gravy thickens.
  5. Taste and adjust salt and pepper to your liking.

Notes

If the gravy is too thick, whisk in a splash more broth. If too runny, mix a pinch more starch with cold water and add. This gravy can also be frozen for later use.
