  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Optional, for added tang.
  • 2 carrots Sliced carrots Optional, for added vegetables.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season the steak with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the steak on both sides over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Add diced tomatoes, garlic, and any additional vegetables (bell peppers, mushrooms, or carrots) to the skillet.
  2. Mix in Worcestershire sauce if using.
  3. Cover and simmer for at least 90 minutes on low heat, or bake in the oven until the meat is tender.

Notes

For serving, pair with mashed potatoes, steamed green beans, or crusty bread. This dish tastes even better the next day, so consider making it ahead of time.
